HIGH DECISIONS

We are thrilled to announce that HIGH DECISIONS — a new student short film created by artists at Theatre of Arts Creative Lab — will make its world premiere at our upcoming Student Shorts Film Festival in Hollywood, California.

Written, directed, and produced by students and emerging filmmakers from our community, HIGH DECISIONS is a bold, character-driven story that explores the impossible choices we make when everything is on the line. It is one of several standout films selected for this year's festival lineup.

About the Film

HIGH DECISIONS follows a group of young adults over the course of a single, high-stakes night — as a series of choices, one after another, reveals who they really are when the pressure is on. It is a film about loyalty, fear, and the small moments that end up defining us.

The project was developed inside Theatre of Arts Creative Lab's film production track, with students serving in every key creative role — from writing and directing to cinematography, editing, and sound design. It represents the kind of hands-on, collaborative filmmaking that our lab was built to support.

The Team Behind It

The cast and creative team of HIGH DECISIONS will be announced closer to the premiere. The film was made possible by the support of our faculty, our volunteer crew, and the broader Theatre of Arts community.

"We wanted to make something honest — a film that doesn't try to be clever, just tries to be true. Getting to premiere it in front of an audience that actually knows us is the whole dream." — HIGH DECISIONS Creative Team

The Festival

HIGH DECISIONS will screen as part of the INCOMPLETE PREMIERE Student Shorts Film Festival — a one-night-only celebration of work by students and emerging filmmakers from Theatre of Arts Creative Lab and beyond. The evening features a curated lineup of shorts, filmmaker Q&As, an audience award, and an after-party mixer.

Each film in the lineup represents a distinct voice and a distinct risk — and we couldn't be more proud to include HIGH DECISIONS among them.
