TOA Returns to The Comedy Store — November 18th

We are thrilled to announce that Theatre of Arts Creative Lab is returning to The Comedy Store — one of the most legendary comedy clubs in the world — for a special one-night-only showcase on November 18th. This is our second time taking the stage at the iconic Sunset Strip venue, and we could not be more excited to bring our community back to the room where so many comedy legends got their start.

The evening will feature a curated lineup of stand-up from Theatre of Arts students, alumni, and faculty — a mix of emerging voices and seasoned performers, all sharing the same stage that has launched the careers of some of the biggest names in comedy.

About The Comedy Store

Since opening its doors in 1972, The Comedy Store has been the beating heart of American stand-up. Located on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, it has hosted virtually every major comedian of the last fifty years — from Richard Pryor and Robin Williams to David Letterman, Whoopi Goldberg, and countless others. The venue's famous "Main Room" and "Original Room" have launched generations of comedy careers, and the club remains one of the most respected rooms in the country.

For our students and alumni, performing at The Comedy Store is more than a gig — it is a chance to stand on a stage that has shaped the very history of the art form.

What to Expect

The evening will feature a full lineup of stand-up sets, with performers drawn from across the Theatre of Arts Creative Lab community. Expect:

• A curated lineup — 8 to 12 performers across the night, ranging from first-time Comedy Store performers to seasoned alumni
• A mix of styles — story-driven stand-up, character work, and sharp observational comedy
• Special guests — surprise drop-ins from friends of TOA and the wider Los Angeles comedy scene
• A full room — a chance to see the next generation of comedy voices on a legendary stage

A Return to the Room

Our first show at The Comedy Store was a highlight of the Theatre of Arts calendar — a sold-out night that reminded everyone in the room why live comedy matters. We are proud to be returning this November, with an even stronger lineup and a night that promises to be one of the most memorable of the season.

"Standing on that stage is a reminder of what live performance is supposed to feel like — risky, alive, and shared with a room full of people who came out to laugh. We're honored to be back." — Theatre of Arts Creative Lab

A Note on Content

Comedy is, by nature, unpredictable. This performance will feature adult language and mature themes. The Comedy Store is a 21-and-over venue — valid ID required at the door for all attendees.

Tickets & Information

Tickets will be available through The Comedy Store box office and online. Space is limited, and our last show sold out quickly — we strongly recommend securing your seats early once tickets go on sale. Full ticketing information, door times, and lineup details will be announced soon.
