SPECIAL EVENT
INCOMPLETE PREMIERE: Student Shorts Film Festival
Theatre of Arts Creative Lab is proud to present INCOMPLETE PREMIERE — a one-night-only student shorts film festival celebrating the boldest, strangest, and most honest work coming out of our community. This is not a polished showcase. It's a premiere of things still becoming.
The evening will feature a curated selection of short films made by students and emerging filmmakers — dramas, comedies, experiments, and everything in between. Each film is followed by a brief Q&A with its creators. Doors open at 6:30 PM.

Why "Incomplete"?
The name is a statement of intent. Student work is often raw, unfinished, and in process — and that's exactly the point. INCOMPLETE PREMIERE is a space for filmmakers to share work that isn't perfect yet, to test their instincts in front of a real audience, and to hear what lands and what doesn't.
This is a night for taking risks, not for showing off. It's a room where failure is welcome and where the only rule is that you bring something real.
"We wanted to make space for work that's still in motion — for the things we make before we know what we're making." — Festival Organizers
Submissions
Submissions for the next INCOMPLETE PREMIERE are open now. We accept shorts of any genre or style, up to 15 minutes in length, made by students and emerging filmmakers in Los Angeles and beyond. There is no submission fee.
To submit, send a private link to your film, along with a short synopsis and cast & crew list, to [email protected]. Selected films will be notified by email.
